The Research and Professional Practice Center provides consultative services to faculty, staff, and students of the BryanLGH College of Health Sciences and to employees and physicians of BryanLGH Medical Center. Consultative services include assistance with all phases of research or evidence-based practice projects, including:
- Seeking funding for research studies;
- Selecting a research methodology and design;
- Protecting the rights and privacy of subjects (IRB review issues);
- Selecting an appropriate subject sample;
- Devising data collection methods – including survey development;
- Statistical analysis of data and interpretation of results;
- Writing and submitting abstracts for presentation of results;
- Seeking funding for travel expenses to present study results;
- Writing articles for publication of results.
The following services are available for assistance with participation in clinical trials:
- Negotiating a budget and other study issues with the primary investigative site;
- Managing study monetary issues;
- Preparing IRB documents;
- Study coordination;
- Data management and submission.
Consultation services are provided without charge to faculty, staff, students, and employees. Consultation is provided to physicians with a fee structure to meet corporate compliance regulations.
